Name the extension’s job#
An extension should solve a bounded business task and identify who uses it. Specify the records and actions it needs instead of requesting broad access by default.
Confirm the extension surface#
The source archive includes an extension SDK and webhook subscription code. Confirm supported installation, permission and runtime behaviour for the intended deployment before treating an internal package as a public distribution contract.
Plan the full lifecycle#
Installation, configuration, updates, removal and data retention need ownership. An extension that works once still needs a safe path for failure and maintenance.
Keep the merchant informed#
Describe what is read, what changes and when approval is required. Connect technical errors to a useful operating response.
